This update completely changed how I use new.space
It would be great if upload/download can be transferred in the background and got notified when finished.

Are all kinds of uploads/downloads, including links, happenning in background? Or only file types?
Uploads of all kinds happen in the background. Only file downloads happen in the background. Links and notes only happen in the foreground.
Sorry, I didn't know. I've always stayed in foreground and waited.
Let us know if you run into any problems with them. The idea of notifying users when the downloads/uploads finish is interesting. We’ll think about it, but we are wary of sending too many notifications to users, annoying them.
I didn't mean one notification per file, but one notification per bulk import.
