Over the past months we’ve been collecting feedback and improving new.space, but as of today new.space is in open beta. Why is this exciting? What does this mean for you? Why is the room spinning? What happens next? Let’s get into it:
The first change that happens today is that you no longer need an access code to use new.space.
I looked for an emoji to convey the emotion I feel about this, but in doing so I found this:🖲️. Evidently it is a trackball, and I can’t believe there is an emoji for that (and that this is what it looks like). Anyway, we hope that this makes it even easier to create spaces and share content between devices and people. As always, head to the pinned thread to let us know what you think!
The second thing that is happening today: we are launching our coming-soon page for our Product Hunt launch. Check out this video we made for it:
If you are interested in supporting us for this next big step, please head to to the coming soon page and hit the ‘Notify me’ button. It would be a huge help as we start to get the word out about new.space.
So what’s next? Oh boy, I’m glad you asked. In addition to all the new improvements and changes to new.space, we’ve also been working in parallel on our iOS app. The TestFlight for this beaut is right around the corner and I can’t wait to share more about how it works, why it is great, and how it is an amazing partner for new.space. Until then, here are a few screenshots:
Before I sign off here, we at Shareup just want to say thank you for all the feedback & testing you all have been doing during the closed beta. In one of our first posts I mentioned that new.space is a ‘small app that can do big things’. Those big things don’t happen without the support of users and a community, so once more: Thanks!
Till next time, happy sharing
It feels so good not to need an access code anymore!
Until now, I’ve been using tools like Dropbox and Wetransfer, which work great for sharing, but I really like the collaborative pinboard feel to Shareup. I’m very visual and hate having to sift through file names etc. so this is a game changer for me.
