Making it all work with new.space
How new.space has made difficult tasks super easy
Last week, we launched end-to-end encrypted notes for new.space. We are super excited by this update not only because it allows folks to give context to a Space, but also because it is an incredibly fast way to create private notes. Have you been using new.space/note? It's the ultra-quick way to instantly spin up a space with a note in focus. I've been using it all the time. I used it just now to draft this post and collect all of the images and links for it. We are excited to improve the notes feature and give it more capabilities in the future, so stay tuned for more updates here.
Flexibility is Key
This week however, I want to talk about a way that new.space has been really great for me in my own life. I don’t normally like to talk too much about personal things, but I became a father recently and with that new bundle of joy came also a bundle of paperwork that needed to be taken care of as well. Getting all these things (documents, important links, stuff to print) together, collected and in order, was always going to be a tricky task. With new.space however, it was actually a really great way for me and my partner to wrangle all the needed documents in a central place and in a visual way.
Secure Sharing
A lot of these documents were naturally very private in nature and needed not only to be transferred between devices, but to also be signed and sent off. I felt really safe knowing all the items were end-to-end encrypted when shared between my partner and myself. We could add the scanned and signed documents to the Space super easily and keep track of what is completed with reactions.
Beyond Collecting
Sharing photos and pics of our newborn with family and friends can be another tricky task. We decided we didn’t really want to use social media for this, however new.space has been really perfect. From keeping full fidelity quality of the images and allowing folks the ability to add reactions has been super fun to see and has really worked out well for us. But now I want to add notes to images 🤔

We’ve mentioned before that we are working hard to prepare accounts on the web, to allow you to keep a Space around and have more control over all your Spaces (early testing results: it is pretty great).
