A few things that make new.space even better

We are getting super close to the release of the 1.0 release of new.space. Looking back over the past year, we've designed and built so many things and today I want to take some time to talk about a few details we added that perhaps only got a passing mention. Let's get into it:

Pick Your Avatar on the Web

If you've used new.space for iOS, then you may have used the avatar picker to choose your color and animal. Folks on the web: rejoice. You can now select the avatar that best suites you. Personally, I'm a shrimp, what are you picking?

Manage Big Files

One thing we realized early on is that if a Space was full, it was a real pain to go track down what large file was taking up so much space. We built a view to manage storage here to give you a big picture look at the biggest files in your account so that you can choose to keep them locally, or just simply remove them from your account.

This view will make its way to the web soon, so stay tuned. I've found my biggest files are usually videos, what are the largest types that you are sharing?

Keyboard Ready

This is not exactly a feature we've talked about extensively, but we really care about accessibility. It is a constant process of striving to be better, but at the baseline we have set it a goal that the webapp is entirely usable with just a keyboard. We have added a few shortcuts like (ctrl + a) to select all, but we are excited to bring even more soon. What kind of keyboard shortcuts or accessibility features would you like to see us add next?
