@Lefty

One thing you can do in macOS Safari, I recently discovered, is open the sidebar (cmd+shift+L), then right click where is says ‘500 tabs’ then click ‘Copy Links’. You can then go ahead and paste that into a space.

This also adds the list of urls to the space as a text file, I believe.

I can’t see how do do this in Arc, though, which is annoying. I might send them a feature request.

@Alex, have you tried selecting the first tab, holding SHIFT key, selecting the last tab (so that multiple tabs get selected), right clicking then selecting Copy URLs in Arc? Not as convenient as Safari, but it works to make Arc’s space pastable into new.space.

Ah, nice. I didn’t know about that. Do you know when they added the feature? It was not mentioned when I was speaking to them about the lack of such functionality.

I have noticed that the shift-to-select behaviour feels a little buggy - it does not appear to work between ‘saved’ tabs and ‘today’ tabs which confused me for a while.

I don’t know when they added the feature, either. And I believe you have to deal with saved and today tabs separately. BTW, I’ve tried the other chromium browsers, like Brave and Edge, but most of them don’t support selecting multiple tabs and copying URLs without using particular extensions. Besides Arc, only Vivaldi does support the feature.

@Alex, Thank you for sharing such a useful solution. That helps me a lot.

I use Arc, too. But not really being familiar with it so far. Hopefully I can have some discoveries later and share with you.

BTW, for those who will open hundreds of pages a day, I recommend using SigmaOS or Horse browser which might provide smoother experience for organizing pages.

This is definitely what I encounter everyday. I used to categorize tabs into groups or workspaces, by some browser extensions (add-ons, plugins, whatever), or native features. But since the process is boring and iterative, I usually give up after some tries.

Do you any automation tips that can do it easily for putting all tabs in current window into a new.space?

This is a great question. At the moment, my process is quite manual, adding the items into the space with copy/paste. We have been developing and testing a browser extension which would take the tabs from a window and put them into a space. We haven't quite nailed the UX yet, but I think when this is ready it would really smooth out the edges.

Do you primarily do this on a desktop or in a mobile context?

Most time I have to do a research or productivity work, I primarily do it on a desktop, because the multiple processing experience in a mobile context is still a disaster for me. But when passive browsing started with an iPhone, I'd come across links on email newsletters, FB, X, etc and then open them on Safari. If there are a lot of relevant links in the original post, it would be possible that I will have to share all of them in a space. So I think I have requirements for both contexts.
