Breaking down barriers with new.space
A look at how we are building new.space to connect with more services
When we started building new.space, we set out with the vision of breaking down the barriers between the things we interact with in our day-to-day lives. That vision still guides us today—there are simply too many siloed links, files and notes across too many tabs, apps, and services. Our goal is still the same: to tame the chaos of it all, and make sharing, planning, and feedback easy. In today’s post, I want to share some things that we are working on to achieve that and then ask some important questions to you all. Oh, and we recently launched new.space for iOS if you haven’t tried it out yet, get it here:
Connecting the Dots
We’ve designed new.space to connect the things that you work on and be a place where your projects can grow. To take it a step further, we’ve been designing and planning integrations that can make new.space an even better tool for you and your team. We are working on a number of integrations with services you use everyday, two examples are Figma and GitHub.
Aside from them being tools that our team uses to design and develop, we chose these two because they tell the story we want to showcase: new.space helps you share everything your team needs, get feedback on how to improve, and then make a plan on where to go next.
Doing More Across All Your Apps
In addition to leveling up how things are displayed in the grid, we want the function of these integrations to also improve your workflow. This means showing the important details of what is happening within those apps and documents.
What else?
We would love to hear from you: what integrations would you like to see in new.space? Let us know.
As always, thanks for reading and using new.space. We’ll be in touch soon with more updates on what’s coming next and a review of some things we’ve shipped. Till then, happy sharing!
I’d love to see Markdown formatting for notes.
